SECAB - Socio Economic Cultural Association Bijapur was established in the year 1969 by Shamsuddin Punekar to provide education to the children of Vijayapur. Now, it is one of the largest and leading educational groups of institutions in the state of Karnataka accepted as a standard educational institution in India. Presently, Secab under its umbrella has 26 educational institutions, more than 10,000 students and around 1000 employees. It has two campuses: Naubag sprawling over 11 acres in the heart of the city and Nauraspur sprawling over 16.5 acres on Bagalkot Road South of the city.
